College Degree or equivalent, preferably with some emphasis on recreational therapy and gerontology Experience and understanding of the physical, mental, spiritual and psycho-social needs of the elderly Ability to organize, plan, delegate and motivate supervised staff Experience in planned, structured and recreational/activity programming Preferred:
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in recreational/activity programming Essential functions of the Job include but are not limited to:
Coordination of Services Plan, organize and oversee departmental activities Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other departments Accept consults for recreational/leisure activities and assess each new resident after reviewing their history and medical records Plan activities and programs in accordance with the needs of each resident, schedule residents into appropriate activities and evaluate programs Complete MDS assessments as scheduled and in a timely manner 2.
Volunteer Services Provide orientation to new volunteers Ensure all required paperwork is completed for all new volunteers Supervise all facility volunteers Track and report all volunteer hours annually.

Resident Engagement Complete activity and social history assessment to identify resident preferences to promote their quality of life.
Assist residents in arranging non- medical transportation as needed.
Identify individual interventions for residents as needed.
Make arrangements for obtaining clothing, personal items and services from outside entities 4.
Community Engagement Promote facility programs to the community to enhance community relations Give tours of the facility to perspective residents and/or their family members Promote and coordinate intergenerational programing with the local community Speak to the community about volunteer opportunities available at the facility Work with the Director of Social Services to plan and organize quarterly Family Education Sessions 5.
Leadership Assist in the selection and training of department personnel Participates in the development of policies and procedures Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other departments Supervise staff and evaluate performance of departmental personnel Administer disciplinary action as necessary Establish/maintain a cooperative working relationship with other departments and community agencies St.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
