Job Description
The Parts Counter Specialist will support the process to satisfy customer demands for Toyota and other vehicles by providing parts and services to customers that will exceed their expectations.
Job Responsibilities
The Parts Counter Specialist sells parts to all available customers, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone.
Assists walk in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
Pulls purchased parts from stock.
If the part is not in stock, determines availability and submits an order if requested by the customer.
Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
Assists service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs in process.
Post lost sales.
Work closely with management and other departments to ensure harmonious and productive operations and maximize the success of Ascent Automotive.
Order parts and accessories from Toyota and approved after-market suppliers.
Locate parts and accessories; secure the best price; ensure proper quality.
Place parts in inventory; enter into database; and monitor inventory levels.
Conduct periodic audits to verify number and value of parts on hand. (perpetual inventories)
Coordinate wholesale account activities (order, receive, bill, and ship).
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The associate frequently is required to stand; walk; be seated for a significant portion of each work day; handle or feel objects in the workplace; and reach with hands and arms. The associate is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
